Post-flop Blind Steals
Stealing the blinds is a great way to keep going in a poker online game even if you aren’t getting the online poker cards that you want. Any time that you can steal the big and small blind, you’ve just bought yourself a free round of poker. In fact, if you can buy on set of blinds per round, you can make it into the cash in any tournament without a single set of winning cards. Most of the time, blinds are stolen before the flop, but sometimes the blinds will call a raise preflop. When that happened, I used to give up if the flop didn’t hit me, but now I know better. I know it can be disheartening when your bluff is called, but before the flop, there are a lot of variables. Depending on the online poker players who hold the blinds, you may not have lost your bet if they call it and the flop doesn’t make your hand. When the blinds call, you can be sure that they are confident in their hands, so when the flop comes out, you have another chance to make your bluff-if the flop is low, the odds are that they didn’t get the cards they were hoping for. Watch how they act, and if there’s any weakness, try stealing those blinds one more time.
